Listened to this yesterday- The massive ice cover & resulting sudden catastrophic thaw is discussed in this interview. Somewhere in the interview it's mentioned how people don't understand the difficulty in living with a couple of miles thick of ice cover. Readers here may recall me saying, since that was what it was like in my neck of the woods, I don't long for those 'good old days'
