Didn't want to publish yet another post so soon, but, it's got to be done. Since it's a new day and Turkey hasn't moved for invasion. The red light is still on. It's news to Russia that the US is withdrawing troops. The US is controlling airspace over Syria- effectively shutting Turkey out.
Turkey did some limited cross border shelling. No airstrikes are mentioned. It appears the move was made to impede passage of fighters and arms from Iraq into Syria.

The Z/Simalka corridor is an unrecognized (by Damascus) border crossing- It was created by and is used by the US/UK/Israel/Kurds . The crossing was mentioned in the 8th news article linked within: Syria Sitrep: Constitutional Talks,Turkey, Russia, Iran & Iraq Colour Revolution 3.0?SANA’s reporter in Hasaka said that the Turkish regime’s army on Monday evening launched an assault on a number of areas in Hasaka northeastern countryside.
He added that the reported information indicated that the aggression targeted a site near Simalka illegitimate corridor on the Syrian-Iraqi borders and Tal Tawil in the countryside of al-Malkiya area where Qasad militias (SDF) are positioned.
The reporter said that the information affirmed that the aggression caused only material damages, and no casualties were reported.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow had not been given advance warning.Clearly the status quo is maintained.
“No, no one notified (us),” he told reporters on a conference call.
He added that it remained to be seen, however, how many U.S. troops would actually be withdrawn. He noted what he said were past U.S. statements about troop withdrawals that had not led to concrete action.
“We are very closely watching the situation,” he said.
